Contributive Storytelling
What is it?
The Gist—
You are paying us for the service(s) to create a story for public enjoyment, inspired by media that you provide. You have zero legal rights to said story and or stories, meaning that you have neither creative, or artistic control; you do not own, will never own, and cannot receive any compensation for said story either now or in future.
So, then what are you getting for your money?
As part of the public, you are receiving the benefit of subscription access to said story that was inspired by the media content that you released to us; additionally, you may have your pseudonym listed in the credits under the heading: Content Inspiration.
The value of art is relative and creativity is fluid.
If you wanted to see an oil painting of a little girl that resembled your own little girl in a blue dress walking through a meadow on a brilliant sunny day with a seascape far off in the distance, but you either did not have the ability to create such a painting yourself, or did not have the resources to commission the painting as a private collection piece, you may consider requesting that the artist create the painting using the image of your little girl as inspiration to create an original art piece—an oil painting that may be placed in a museum, where the public and most importantly (you) could go visit the work of art during the museum’s operating hours.
For the service, to the artist, you pay a fraction of the costs of a commissioned private piece.
Afterall, it is the artist’s time, creativity, materials, and expertise that made the art tangible, despite the inspiration.
And with art, creativity cannot be undone.
